Real Estate Renovations

A Wall Says It All

Going through a renovation is pretty major and it takes a toll on you in many ways you really don’t expect.  We found ourselves traveling this past weekend, unexpectedly. When we arrived back home Monday morning to more snow than we have seen all season and the phone’s ringing off the hook it was really a lot to handle.  My first thought was to get all our laundry done, knowing our laundry room would be out of commission for a minute.

So I am really encouraged by the progress they are making walls came down and in a flash new walls went up!

Yes, there is still a large hole in the floor but the dry wall is up for the new space and we look forward to the plumber coming in and adding his handiwork to the process.

Of course, he is going to be delayed by a day, so we have our first work stoppage.  I really do hope its only for one day and that on Friday the plumbing will be done and the last wall put in and finished.

Although when I think about it, there really is still a lot that has to go on in there, insulation, framing the last wall, flooring, lighting, tiling and the installation of the bathroom amenities ( vanity, toilet, mirror, etc. )

But, I’m still pleased with the progress and will be happy when all of the items, we’ve ordered actually get installed and out of my living room ( so that too can be demolished and reconstructed…..)
